Hotel leadership is about creating direction, not just managing operations.
Working across Spain, Italy and France has shown me that commercial vision, financial discipline and multicultural leadership must reinforce one another. Luxury is delivered by people whose decisions are guided by a clear strategy.
My perspective on international hotel leadership:

International hotel leadership: a practical operating model
My work across Spain, Italy and France has combined operational responsibility with international sales, institutional relationships, hotel openings and the development of cross-functional teams. A general manager must connect these disciplines through a clear commercial purpose and an operating rhythm that makes commitments measurable.
People, commercial strategy and guest standards
Effective hospitality management depends on precise handovers, empowered department heads, reliable financial data and visible leadership at the moments when guests need it. Commercial partnerships should support the hotel’s identity rather than dilute it; operational teams must understand the experiences that justify its positioning.
Experience documented in the professional archive
My archive includes the Hotel Asset Torrejón opening, Golden Palace Turin and international sport, ETOA City Fair and Allegroitalia, and FITURTECH Madrid. These episodes illustrate different dimensions of a career: stakeholder engagement, hotel operations, commercial relationships and technological curiosity.
For the industry context, the OECD’s 2026 analysis points towards greater resilience, data-based decision-making and investment in workforce capability. My perspective is that technology should support clear accountability and better hospitality, not replace professional judgement.

International Leadership: A Portfolio of Real Hotel Experiences
My professional journey has combined general management, hotel openings, business development and relationships with major international markets. Each engagement called for a different response: establishing operational discipline, adapting the commercial proposition, building resilient teams or strengthening a hotel’s standing in its destination.

Commercial Judgement Meets Operational Delivery
The next generation of hotel leadership needs more than a single performance metric. Cornell’s work on total hotel revenue management emphasises guest value, distribution costs and profit contribution across rooms, food and beverage, spa and meetings. That research informs my strategic perspective; it is not presented as a Cornell qualification or affiliation.
