Chapter 02 | Madrid: where openings became a passion
My journey with High Tech / Petit Palace in Madrid taught me that opening a hotel is never simply about reaching an inauguration date.
Beyond the High Tech / Petit Palace chapter, other Madrid-area hotel projects form part of this professional journey. The following photographs document the establishments; each caption distinguishes archival evidence from later illustrative imagery.
The Asset Torrejón inauguration in 2007 is represented here by an original event photograph from the professional archive.
INNSIDE Madrid Génova and INNSIDE Madrid Alonso Martínez are presented as separate properties, with their own archival photographs and without assuming identical opening dates.
After Petit Palace Londres, I directed further opening projects and collaborated on additional High Tech developments. Each brought new operational challenges, new teams and the opportunity to turn an idea into a living hospitality experience.
Those years strengthened a conviction I carry throughout my international career: the real legacy of a General Manager is found in the people, standards and relationships that remain after an opening.
